Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Operate and maintain assigned line to maintain safety, quality and productivity. Including such activities as prepping for roll production, doffing rolls, packaging rolls, line start-ups, operational maintenance and cleaning.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Actively participate in risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility.
- Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and support implemented corrective actions.
- Participate in safety observation programs as required.
- Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach within the department and plant,
- Operate and Maintain Line to established standards
- Meet productivity standards
- Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.
- Complete required documentation such as: patrols, housekeeping sheets, doff quality coding, etc.
- Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine
- Make adjustments to machinery as needed.
- Suggest improvements to processes or procedures
- Coordinate with lab personnel, Team Leader and Engineering for issues and improvements
- Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment
- Train others as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma
- Experience in a manufacturing facility (preferably textiles or roll goods) strongly desired.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard office machines and computer software including MS Office Suite- Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- General understanding of machinery and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with building occupants, contractors, and management
