Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Lecturer of Mathematics

Job Description:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Berry College seeks applicants with a strong interest in teaching undergraduate mathematics to serve as a visiting assistant professor or visiting lecturer beginning August 17, 2026. The successful candidate would teach 18 contact hours during the academic year and hold office hours. The successful candidate should also be an active participant in the campus community and interested in interacting with students in a residential college environment.

The mathematics program is known for its student-centered teaching methods and innovative approaches to student mentoring. We seek candidates who share our department's commitment to student engagement inside and outside of the classroom, as well as our desire to promote opportunities for students from under-represented groups.

Requirements:

Ideally, applicants should hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related discipline. Candidates who are ABD or who have a master's degree in mathematics will also be considered.
