What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary - Student AV Operator position at BERRY CENTER?
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART-TIME/TEMPORARY POSITION
Student Employment:
- Recommendation from a District department or campus.
- At least 14 years old and currently enrolled in a CFISD middle or high school.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work on fixed and portable ladders; physically capable of bending, stooping, continuous standing and walking. Able to work in varied temperatures.
- Ability to demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude, maintain confidentiality, and abide by the policies of the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a part-time temporary assignment, however, the length of the temporary assignment will be determined based on project needs.
PAY:
$15.50/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Set up, operate, Berry Center cameras used in event production, such as but not limited to CFISD football, campus performances, banquets, graduations, and other district events.
- Set up, operate, audio visual production equipment and assist in managing live productions for football, basketball, soccer, and all other CFISD sporting events.
- Assist with the setup and operation of lighting equipment for events at the Berry Center Arena, Theatre, and Conference Center, including proms, banquets, and theatrical performances.
- Assist with the setup and operation of audio equipment for events at the Berry Center, including homecomings, proms, arena concerts, conference banquets, and dance performances.
- Provide support for all events supported by the Berry Center Audio Visual staff.
- Set up, operate, all other audio-visual equipment to be used for event support.
- Provide quality customer service to the public, district staff, promoters, and event clients.
- Support clients and assist with the successful operation of technology for all events the Berry Center staff support.
- Perform all duties assigned by the Berry Center management team and/or CFISD administrative team.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Have reliable transportation to Berry Center and Pridgeon Stadium
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting and carrying of approximately 50 lbs. Work outside and inside. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures both inside and outside, and extended periods of sitting and/or standing and walking up and down bleachers and/or steps.
