Lookking for a qualified Business Office Manager with Long Term Care Experience.
The Assistant Business Office Manager ABOM performs business office functions under the direction of the Administrator in accordance with sound accounting practices.
Assistant Business Office Manager Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The Business Office Manager plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the facility's accounting functions under the supervision of the Administrator
- The Business Office Manager monitor's billing and collection activities. Coordinates with third party biller if applicable.
- Assures proper accounting procedures and controls are in place and followed, especially segregation of duties.
- Analyzes collections on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for all aspects of the resident trust accounting system, including security of patient funds.
- Manage the Medicaid pending application and conversion process to ensure timely resolution.
- The Business Office Manager ensures procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely closing at month end and is the coordinator for the triple check process.
- Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and retains a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the business office
- Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis
- The Business Office Manager assists in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
Business Office Manager QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in skilled nursing/ long term care facility.
- Must have working knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing
