Restaurant Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, answering phones and maintaining the flow of service in our restaurant. Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly demeanor.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and surrounding area.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing guest inquiries or concerns.
• Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and orders.
• Foster positive guest relations by providing exceptional customer service.

Skills

• Strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with guests over the phone.
• Excellent hospitality skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Solid customer service skills to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and team members alike.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
