At Bernstein-Rein, we believe the best learning happens by doing. Our Summer Advertising Internship Program is designed to help students grow better—as creatives, strategists, collaborators, and future advertising professionals. You’ll work on real client projects, learn from experienced mentors, and build skills that set you up for long-term success.


Program Details

  • Duration: June 1, 2026 – July 24, 2026
  • Location: 4600 Madison Ave., Suite 1500, Kansas City, MO 64112
  • Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. [In-Office]
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. [Virtually]
  • Application Deadline: January 28th, 2026


Interns work in designated departments on meaningful projects, collaborate across disciplines, and participate in group learning experiences. At the end of the summer, interns present a project they contributed to and share how they grew their skills and perspective throughout the program.

Internship Roles


Account / Project Management Intern

Grow better at leading projects and building relationships.

Support the account and project management teams by helping keep work organized, on track, and moving forward. You’ll gain exposure to client communication and cross-functional collaboration.

You’ll:

  • Assist with timelines, deliverables, and project documentation
  • Participate in client meetings and internal status updates
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and strategy teams
  • Learn how strong project management helps ideas grow better


Media Planning Intern

Grow better at turning insights into impact.

Work with the media team to research audiences, analyze data, and help build media plans that bring campaigns to life.

You’ll:

  • Conduct media and audience research
  • Assist in developing media plans and recommendations
  • Help track and analyze campaign performance
  • Learn how data-driven decisions help brands grow better


Creative Designer Intern

Grow better as a visual storyteller.

Collaborate with designers and creative teams to produce compelling visual work across multiple platforms.

You’ll:

  • Create layouts, graphics, and design assets
  • Support creative concepts for digital, social, and print
  • Prepare work for presentation and production
  • Receive feedback that helps your craft grow better


Creative Copywriter Intern

Grow better through ideas and words.

Help shape brand stories through thoughtful, engaging copy that connects with audiences.

You’ll:

  • Write and edit copy for digital, social, and integrated campaigns
  • Brainstorm concepts with designers and strategists
  • Learn how voice and messaging support brand growth
  • Refine your work through collaboration and feedback


Social / Strategy Intern

Grow better at understanding people, platforms, and culture.

Support social media and strategic planning efforts by helping shape content, monitor trends, and analyze performance.

You’ll:

  • Assist with social content planning and execution
  • Monitor cultural and social trends
  • Help analyze performance metrics and insights
  • Learn how strategy helps ideas and brands grow better
