What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Maintenance Technician position at Bernick's?
Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance visits, as well as service calls to address immediate needs
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a time sensitive manner
- Keep accurate service records and complete work orders
- May travel up to 200 miles per day to customer sites
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM

Rotating on-call with other Service Technicians is required: flexibility to be on-call approximately every 8th week/weekend (24/7)
- Additional pay when on-call

Base Compensation:
$23-$24/hr

- Excellent mechanical and electrical skills, which are required to maintain and repair equipment
- Willingness to learn and ability to be trained in a time sensitive environment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Previous service technician or maintenance experience preferred

Job Summary: Field Service Technicians are responsible for providing direct service, repair, and install to Bernick’s portfolio of equipment such as Vending Machines, Fountain Equipment, Ice Machines – Air and Water Cooled, Coolers, Coffee Equipment and Frozen Beverage Equipment. Brands we service include Bunn, Curtis, True, Beverage-Air, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Cornelius, and National to name a few.
