About Us
Berner Pest Solutions is a locally owned pest control company serving Lexington and the surrounding area. Our team is small, but growing. The company's owner has 14 years in the industry and is an Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE). We're looking for a technician who takes pride in doing the job right and wants to grow with us.
We're not a corporate call center with quotas and a scripted playbook. Here, your input matters, your work gets noticed, and you'll know the person who signs your checks.
What You'll Do
- Run a residential and commercial service route potentially consisting of but not limited to: general pest, mosquito, rodent (trapping, exclusion, etc.), termite, bed bug, and wood destroying insect (WDI) inspections
- Run estimates for new customers, explain our service options, and perform the first service on the spot when they sign up
- Inspect homes and businesses, find the source of the problem, and explain what you found in plain language
- Apply products safely and according to the label, Kentucky regulations, and company procedures
- Document every service in our scheduling software
- Keep your truck and equipment clean, stocked, and in good working order
- Represent Berner with every customer: on time, professional, and easy to talk to
What We're Looking For
- We hire for attitude and work ethic. Pest control experience is welcome, but we'll teach you everything you need to know
- Detail-oriented and thorough; you notice the things others miss
- A problem solver who wants to find the source of the problem, not just treat the symptoms
- A quality over quantity mindset; we'd rather do the job right than rush through it
- Great communication skills, with the ability to explain what you found and what you're doing in a way customers understand and trust
- Comfortable talking with customers and recommending services; we'll teach you our sales/service processes, but an ability to communicate effectively with customers helps
- Kentucky Category 7A license is a plus; if you're not licensed, we'll support you through the training/certification process
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Able to work in crawlspaces and attics, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in summer heat

Schedule
Monday through Friday, ~8am to ~5pm
