ERP Inventory Control Analyst

Berner Foods Manufacturing
Dakota, IL Full Time
POSTED ON 10/25/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/21/2027

Step into the engine room of our operation

As an ERP Inventory Control Analyst, you make sure every component is exactly where it should be—physically on our shelves and digitally in our ROSS ERP system. Partnering daily with Scheduling, Production, and Supply Chain, you’ll keep raw materials flowing to the line, data clean and accurate, and the team aligned on safety, quality, and service.

A day in your life

You start by reviewing ROSS dashboards, catching and correcting any errors that could slow production. You walk the offices and warehouses to conduct cycle counts, verify expired materials for exchange or return, and ensure the next run has every ingredient ready. Along the way, you coach inventory associates on best practices, from scanner use to safe material handling, and escalate issues to your manager when needed. Throughout the day, you’re the go-to for locating items (with WH Manager approval), analyzing stock levels, and leading process improvements that keep our materials accurate and our operation humming.

What you’ll do

  • Complete monthly, weekly, and daily cycle count schedules in offices and warehouses.
  • Assist all departments in locating requested items (WH Manager approval required).
  • Support company-wide physical inventory events.
  • Use the ROSS ERP system and associated devices; investigate and resolve system errors.
  • Exchange/return expired products and monitor all expiration dates.
  • Lead inventory initiatives, drive process improvements, and streamline inventory workflows.
  • Use reports to monitor optimal inventory levels and adjust as needed.
  • Train inventory specialists on ROSS ERP and hand scanners.
  • Direct and advise the daily activities of a team of inventory associates.
  • Ensure new and experienced employees work with a high degree of safety, service, and quality.
  • Provide proper training and development for inventory associates.
  • Ensure the facility workflow meets performance expectations and that all raw materials are available for production.
  • Provide basic performance feedback to the team and know when to escalate issues to your manager.

Training, education, and experience

  • Position-specific training includes HACCP, Retort, Food Science, Safety, Food Safety, and Pest Control.
  • Preferred: 2-year degree (or a combination of education and experience evaluated case-by-case).
  • Preferred: Experience in warehouse, inventory management, production, and/or a food–beverage environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and repetitively.
  • Ability to read a production schedule/assignment.
  • Effective communication skills with Supervisors.
  • Solid understanding of basic math.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

Working conditions
