Role Description:

Bernard’s Pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and motivated Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team in Basking Ridge, NJ. This on-site leadership position is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, supporting a collaborative team, and making a meaningful difference in the local community.

As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure the safe and

accurate dispensing of medications, maintain regulatory compliance, and help create a positive,

patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and support pharmacy staff to foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriate medication use.
• Provide personalized medication counseling and answer patient questions regarding prescriptions, potential side effects, and proper medication use.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable New Jersey and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, medication ordering, and controlled substance procedures.
• Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve medication-related concerns.
• Support clinical pharmacy services, including immunizations and medication therapy management, as applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows, operational efficiency, and the overall patient experience.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and contribute to Bernard’s Pharmacy's commitment to personalized, community-focused healthcare.

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license and eligibility to serve as Pharmacist in Charge.
• Experience in community or retail pharmacy, including prescription verification, medication counseling, and pharmacy operations.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, medication safety, and controlled substance management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and sound decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced pharmacy environment while maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic prescription systems.
• Ability to perform essential job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a pharmacy management or leadership position.
• Experience working in an independent or community-focused pharmacy.
• Experience providing immunizations and other clinical pharmacy services.
• A passion for building patient relationships and delivering personalized care.
