Job Summary |
Entry level position to develop the tools and skill set necessary to grow within the Estimating department. This includes basic training in reading plans, quantity takeoffs, bid day support and intern mentoring.
Duties and Responsibilities |
- Perform quantity takeoffs (All Divisions: Div. 2 – Div. 16)
- Mentor team members up through estimating interns
- Perform bid day support
- Engage in bid solicitation support
- Shadow the creation and development of bid day spreads
- Perform research for various materials, costs, constructability, etc. and present findings to fellow colleagues
- Learn and develop initial training on plans and specifications
- Develop effective telephone and email communication procedures
- Establish Estimating program knowledge (Excel, Bidmail, Outlook, Word, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Etc.)
