Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tractor Operator to join our agricultural team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating tractors and related machinery to support farming activities and land maintenance. Responsibilities
- Operate agricultural tractors and heavy machinery safely and efficiently across various farm tasks, including planting, harvesting, land preparation, herbiciding, mowing, and fertilizer application.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on farm equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Handle manual tasks such as daily/routine maintenance, equipment setup, and basic mechanical repairs as needed.
- Assist with farm labor activities including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating farm machinery, especially agricultural tractors and heavy equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with safety standards related to farm work, heavy lifting, manual handling, and equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, orange grove operations or growing experience is a plus
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor labor; comfort working with hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measurements, record keeping, and operational calculations is a plus
