Audit Intern
Job Summary:
The Audit Intern performs and completes procedures on audit programs and prepares work papers to support tasks performed.
Responsibilities:
- Compares data contained in a variety of financial records in order to detect trends, errors, anomalies or problems.
- Makes recommendations for improving internal controls.
- Completes required schedules, account analyses, worksheets, and projects.
- Prepares and presents written and oral reports.
- Performs other accounting and auditing duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintains the confidentiality of the firm and its clients.
Qualifications:
- Working towards obtaining or has recently obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong analytical ability and judgement
- Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
