What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer position at Berman Design?
Berman Architecture & Design, a United States architectural practice based in Chicago, is looking for architectural designers IRL full time at the Chicago office with 2-6 years of work experience to help plan, design and detail projects across the U.S. You be able to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, engineers, and others. We design restaurants and bars (including franchise restaurant prototypes), commercial bakeries and kitchens, live theaters, residences, grocery stores, recording studios, and interesting Landmark and urban adaptive reuse projects. All of our working drawings are documented using Revit. We use freehand perspective sketching as a design tool and also provide graphic design services.
Qualifications:
- Full time applicants will work at the Chicago office and must have an accredited Architecture degree.
- Ability to navigate in Bluebeam Revu
- Fluency in Revit.
- Construction documentation, drafting with annotations & detail items, Revit family creation, experience with scheduling.
- We are looking for someone who is neat and organized within Revit.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite and Enscape is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
- Capable of producing design, presentation, and construction documents.
- Self-starter and enthusiastic.
