Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting if needed.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the rights of residents are upheld and respected at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those requiring memory care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health or direct support roles is preferred but NOT mandatory.
- Ability to perform first aid when necessary and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A caring attitude towards individuals requiring assistance, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness in the living environment for the comfort of residents.
