What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Director (Berlin Extended Day Center) position at Berlin Elementary School?
The Site Director is the leader for our Berlin Extended Day Center. The Site Director will help lead an innovative program for K-6 students at Berlin Elementary school by developing and supporting successful interest-based workshops for students. Additionally, the Site Director will ensure that 9-12th grade high school students in a Youth Community Educator Program become leaders in their community through an internship placement at the elementary school. The Site Director holds the vision of out-of-school time programming that meets the needs of K-6 learners, while supporting the development of leaders from U-32 High School in an internship. Together, this extended day ecosystem provides relevant, connected, and engaging learning for our young people.
The Site Director will be someone who ensures the success of the program by coordinating extended day programming and the delivery of interest-based workshops. The Site Director is responsible for recruiting training, and evaluating staff and interns, and collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure alignment between the school day, and out-of-school time.
Along with the Berlin Elementary School Principal, the Site Director will elevate the leadership and voice of young people in our school community, while providing them with engaging, inter-disciplinary workshops. The Site Coordinator will work with families to ensure access and engagement, including coordinating celebrations of learning, and summer sessions.
This role is perfect for an educator, youth development practitioner, or professional who excels at bridging the gap between classrooms and real-world application. You will serve as a facilitator, mentor, and program shepherd, ensuring that every workshop translates into meaningful skill-building for our students.
This is a 30 hour per week, 35 weeks/year or cyclical based on session and need.
Salary : $24 - $33
