Health Teacher .2 FTE

Washington Central Unified Union School District is seeking a certified Physical Education/Health Teacher to teach general health education to students in grades K-6. Training in Responsive Classroom and PBIS is preferable. This position will serve our Elementary Schools. This is a .20 FTE position. Knowledge of elementary school research based best practices Knowledge of the Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards Knowledge and experience of integrating Vermont Proficiencies Knowledge of proficiency based reporting Knowledge of trauma informed practices Knowledge of PBIS framework Willingness to specialize in subject areas Strong collaboration and teamwork ethic Evidence of integrating technology into the learning environment Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Evidence of strong connection with students and families Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application Ongoing educational training and the belief that educators ensure learning for every child
