Berkshire Mountain Bakery is seeking a reliable individual to join our Saturday Farmers’ Market team. This is an excellent opportunity to join our community – this position is a great potential fit for an active community member seeking a second part-time job, or as an in-road to other opportunities within the bakery.
Farmers’ Markets run every Saturday through November 2024, and continue with the holiday/winter season beginning around Thanksgiving. Saturdays are required; estimated work hours are 6:45am-2:45pm.

We not only believe in providing the most delicious baked goods imaginable, but also in retaining the maximum nutritional benefit of every grain we use.
Job duties:
· Accurately pick and load product for transportation to market
· Safely drive a cargo van to and from market
· Display and restock product neatly.
· Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all products offered
· Effectively communicate knowledge of product to customers or for promotional needs
· Set up and break down Farmers’ Market stall (tent, tables, display, etc.)
· Track and report product inventory following the completion of the market
· Serve customers in a timely and courteous manner
· Accurately process customer transactions via cash, market tokens, and mobile credit card readers
· Reconcile cash box and product inventory
Ideal candidates should be:
· Punctual
· Courteous
· Able to work independently
· Able to stand for up to 8 hours
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs
· Able to safely drive a cargo van
