Role Description
This is a part time on-site role for an Assistant at Berkshire Hearth and Home LLC., located in Newtown, CT. The Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including customer service, inventory management, clerical duties, and assisting with sales. Daily responsibilities include answering phone calls, managing emails, updating inventory records, supporting the sales team, and maintaining a welcoming environment for customers. The Assistant will also help in organizing store displays and ensuring the store is tidy and presentable.
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Communication skills
- Experience in Inventory Management and Clerical tasks
- Sales support and Organizational skills
- Basic computer skills including Quickbooks
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification is a plus
- Experience in retail or a similar environment is preferred
