This role is part of a Major Case Unit handling large-loss and litigated commercial general liability claims, including New York Labor Law exposures.
The position focuses on investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution of high-exposure claims.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.

This role is part of a Major Case Unit handling large-loss and litigated commercial general liability claims, including New York Labor Law exposures.
The position focuses on investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution of high-exposure claims.
What You’ll Do
- Handle large-loss and catastrophic CGL claims, including New York Labor Law (200, 240, 241)
- Investigate claims and identify coverage, liability, and risk transfer issues
- Review construction contracts, indemnification agreements, and insurance policies to determine coverage and priority of coverage
- Work with defense counsel to manage litigated claims through resolution
- Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure using medical records, expert reports, depositions, and other documentation
- Negotiate claim resolution through settlement, mediation, or trial preparation
- Set and adjust indemnity and expense reserves
- Issue indemnity and expense payments
- Interview insureds, claimants, and witnesses
- Travel as needed for mediations, hearings, trials, and conferences
- 10 years of experience handling CGL and/or BOP liability claims
- 5 years handling New York Labor Law claims with exposures exceeding $500,000
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience reviewing insurance coverage, policy language, and construction contracts
- Experience with risk transfer and coverage priority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-exposure claims caseload
- Experience using claims systems and standard business tools
- Ability to work with defense counsel, experts, and internal teams

Salary : $90,000 - $160,000
