Part-Time Patient Account Representative / Medical Biller

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Patient Account Representative (PAR)/Medical Biller to support our Business Office. This role is responsible for medical billing, accounts receivable, payment posting, claim follow-up, and providing excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims.
- Research and resolve claim denials and billing issues.
- Post patient and insurance payments accurately.
- Manage accounts receivable and patient balances.
- Assist patients with billing questions and payment plans.
- Process secondary claims and maintain accurate account records.
- Communicate with insurance companies and internal staff to resolve billing concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Education and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or technical school degree in medical billing, medical secretary or electronic medical records preferred
- 2 years of medical collections experience preferre
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of medical terminology
