Berkot's is seeking Produce Manager applicants in the Coal City area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Staffing, hiring, and training all produce department employees
- Merchandising displays and special buy in’s
- Ensuring Department is up to Safety and Health Code Standards
- Understanding company financials and Produce Departments impact
- Responsible for order all products from multiple vendors.
- Maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring minimal loss in the Produce Department
- Maintain a broad knowledge of produce products
- Handle employee relation issues within your departments, partnering with store managers and HR department when needed to address issues.
- Helping with company events as pertains to produce department
- Other duties assigned as see fit
- Scheduling for Produce Department
- Keeping department clean and fresh up to Berkot standards
Requirements:
- 5 years experience working in Grocery Retail, Specifically Produce department
- Ability to stand for 5 hours
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Valid driving license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
