Responsibilities
The Claims Department is changing the landscape of the Workers’ Compensation industry by providing agents and their insureds with exceptional results. This is achieved by handling claims with integrity and compassion while taking an outcome focused approach.
Key Functionswill Include But Not Be Limited To
- Independently manage only workers' compensation claims by investigating and approving related medical treatment.
- Handle all technical aspects of claims including coverage, medical management, file management, subrogation, reserving and settlement.
- Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act and Rules and Regulations in the jurisdictions assigned.
- Interprets medical records applying medical terminology.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in workers’ compensation
- Possess effective interpersonal, analytical and negotiations skills.
- Demonstrate well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates evidence of self-motivation and the ability to effectively multi-task.
- Interdepartmental collaboration and innovation with underwriting, loss control, business development and marketing
- Have or will secure a Property and Casualty License with 120 days of employment.

- Base Salary Range: $52,000 - $58,000
- Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.
