A key focus is on developing therapeutic relationships and programming that prioritize inclusion, empowerment, and strength-based interventions, particularly for historically underserved student populations. Some evening availability may be required.

About The Role & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an ongoing clinical caseload, providing short-term individual and group psychotherapy and psychological assessments.
- Provide crisis intervention services as part of the emergency counselor rotation and as needed.
- Develop and lead community mental health initiatives for underserved student populations, such as expressive arts offerings.
- Serve as a liaison to student affinity groups and identity-based programs.
- Staff daily drop-in hours specifically for students for whom counseling services have been historically stigmatized.
- Conduct assessments and refer as appropriate to community providers for advanced or longer-term treatment.
- Maintain all pertinent clinical documentation and participate in weekly supervision meetings.
We are looking for a licensed professional with a passion for college mental health and demonstrated experience working effectively within a highly diverse community.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
- Current Massachusetts licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent) or license-eligible within 6 months of hiring date.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling or closely related work, particularly community-based interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with multicultural and diverse student populations.
- Strong psychological assessment, individual/group counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
- Strong consultation and presentation/training skills.
- Knowledge of student development and psychological theories/principles.
