Arborist Assistant

Job Summary

37-year, quality-focused Arborist service in North Boulder seeks a hard worker to assist our arborists on job sites.

Responsibilities and Duties

1) Assisting our climbing arborists from the ground:

• Assist climbers and lift operators to prune, remove, cable and plant trees and shrubs.
• Keep tree work areas safe and clear of branches and other debris; haul branches to the road and run them through chippers; load logs, for removal from the site.
• Communicate effectively with climbers, other ground workers and clients/neighbors to insure their safety.
• Thoroughly clean sites before leaving.
• Safely drive trucks to and from job sites. Back trailers and operate various machines.

2) Responsible for:

• Helping the arborists/climbers to do their jobs.
• Maintaining trucks, chippers, chainsaws and other tools and equipment.
• Keeping tool inventories on trucks.
• Maintaining a safe work site.
• Communicating with customers; protecting them and their property.

Qualifications and Skills

• Driver’s license.
• Clean record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of demanding physical labor experience.
• You must be physically fit, courteous, communicative and attentive.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
