The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join its front office team. As a GSA, you will be responsible for checking guests in/out, running daily reports, handling guest transactions, answering any phone or in-person inquiries, and ultimately facilitating a seamless guest experience with all hotel departments.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of hotel guest service experience required
- Must have flexible schedule (i.e., able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays)
- Substantive working knowledge of Opera cloud software, strongly preferred
- Ability to perform computer-based tasks efficiently and accurately, such as data entry, accounting, word processing, and billing
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Time management and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to read and comprehend instructions as well as adhering to directives
- Ability to correspond with memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization including corrective conversations
- Additional language skills, a plus
