Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions, including hydration fluids, vitamins, minerals, and medications with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during and after IV therapy for adverse reactions or complications, responding promptly to ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within an electronic health record (EHR) system ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on IV procedures, post-treatment care, and health coaching to promote understanding and engagement in their wellness journey.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination or infection risks.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for case management, treatment adjustments, and comprehensive patient care planning.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory.
Qualifications
- Valid RN or LVN license with current state licensure.
- Proven experience in IV infusion therapy, with knowledge of venipuncture and catheter care procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with using EMR/EHR systems such for accurate documentation.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work independently and as part of a physician team.
