COLLEGE STUDENT INTERNSHIP- Member Services/ Cashiering Assistant AW
POSITION SUMMARY
To provide efficient and effective support services to various departments within Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Inc.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive payments by cash, check, and credit cards.
- Post payments accurately to member's account; issue the proper amount of change back to member.
- Greet members entering office establishment and direct them to the appropriate member service representative.
- All duties as assigned within the parameters of all applicable federal, state, and local labor and safety laws and/or regulations.
- All positions are required to participate in weekly group meetings with other interns. May involve special assignments and field trips.
EDUCATION
- Must be a high school senior or enrolled in a university or college program.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have good general office and computer skills, be detail-oriented, reliable, efficient, conscientious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and in a friendly and personable manner with employees and the public.
- Promptness is extremely important. Must be a team player.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office setting. Mostly sitting at desk. Some lifting, bending, and stooping.
