The Director of International Admissions is responsible for initiating and implementing all aspects of the College’s international recruitment and outreach strategy and manages the day-to-day aspects of the international admissions process. Collect and analyze data to establish benchmarks and lead continuous improvement efforts for international recruitment and enrollment efforts as well as maintain compliance with US Department of Homeland Security Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS), FERPA and all applicable policies and laws. Coordinate with key stakeholders in supporting enrollment and student success goals. Job Location New York City Educational Requirements Master’s degree preferred. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the international admissions team. Lead and train staff, fostering a collaborative environment. Responsible for team productivity and compliance to policies, laws and regulations. Develop, coordinate and implement international recruitment initiatives including travel, interviews and presentations, digital and print communication, virtual engagement, and partner cultivation activities. Provide insights and recommendations regarding marketing campaigns to prospective international students. Strategically identify local, national and global markets with a goal of increasing enrollment. Advise international applicants on F-1and J-1 visa policies, academic class registration and cultural issues, and other critical factors surrounding relocation. Lead outreach efforts by representing the College at global and local recruitment events and fairs. Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment partners. Respond to inquiries about SEVIS requirements, programs, admission, scholarships, and campus resources. Work with applicants throughout the admission process to ensure timely collection of documents. Work in partnership with the Director of International Student Services to best serve our students and remain compliant with federal regulations. Prepare and monitor relevant operating budgets for recruitment activities. Conduct international travel for recruitment activities, as needed. Interview students, engage in telephone and e-mail communications. Review and evaluate foreign credentials for undergraduate applicants. Qualifications Five to ten years’ experience in Higher Education with International Student Recruitment. Must possess knowledge regarding market trends related to international students. Demonstrated experience with best practices in international student recruitment, visa requirements, and admission processes and their implementation. Demonstrated understanding of foreign educational credential systems. Demonstrated supervisory experience and leadership roles. Demonstrated experience effectively working with agent relationships. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills. Willingness to travel. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations including a range of international populations with appropriate cultural understanding. Familiarity with Salesforce, Ring Central and Outlook is a plus. Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and regulations.
