Position Overview:
The School Counselor provides comprehensive counseling services to students, including academic guidance, career planning, and personal/social development. This role involves collaborating with staff, families, and community resources to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students.

Assist students in developing academic and career plans.

Implement programs that promote personal and social development.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs.

Coordinate with community agencies to provide additional support services.

Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Participate in student assessment and intervention processes.

Provide crisis intervention as needed.

Educate students and staff on topics related to mental health and well-being.

Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.

Valid South Carolina School Counselor Certification.

Knowledge of counseling techniques and ethical standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements

Work Environment
