Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Scheduling and coordinating load shipments while overseeing trucking operations
- Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, broken concrete, debris, broken asphalt, etc. to and from specified locations. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that materials are loaded
- Inspect Trucks/Tractors/Trailers before and after every trip or as required by management
- Maintain accurate driver logs
- Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Five years experience with driving a truck and trailer
- Level of Experience Requirements: Must have a valid Medical Examiners Certificate – must pass DOT physical
- Good Driving Record
- Proven Experience operating tractor/trailers, dump trucks, walking floor trailers, etc.
- Working Knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- US Citizen
- Must be able to work 8 to 12-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends
- Ability to be punctual and dependable
- A strong commitment to safety and quality work
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees, external vendors and other business associates
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions

- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.
