Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washer, dryers, and other laundry equipment
- Sort wash, dry, fold, and organize linens according to proper procedures
- Check linens for stains, tears, or damage and treat or report as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas
- Monitor inventory of linens, chemicals, and supplies; report low stock
- Follow all safety and sanitation standards
- Handle laundry items with care to prevent shrinkage, color fading, or damage
- Deliver clean linens to designated areas when required
- Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks assigned
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience but not required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30-50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in warm environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part a team
- Time management
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Organization and multitasking
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Fast-pace setting requiring repetitive motion
- Weekend and holiday shifts are required
- Fast-paced environments and having no issues working in heat or completing physical demanding tasks
- Maintaining a steady pace and perform well under pressure
- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.
