Position Summary
The Residential Electrical & Generator Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential electrical systems and standby generators. This role delivers safe, high-quality workmanship while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and manufacturer standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems and components.
- Install and service standby generators and automatic transfer switches.
- Diagnose electrical and generator-related issues and perform repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on generator systems.
- Identify safety concerns and recommend repairs or upgrades.
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety policies.
- Provide professional customer service and communicate recommendations clearly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of residential electrical & generator service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and customer service skills.
- Generator experience or manufacturer certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
- Climb ladders and perform physically demanding work.
Pay: $25.00 - $34.13 per hour
