Summary:
The Outside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for generating profitable parts and service sales across an assigned territory, strengthening customer relationships, and developing new opportunities.
This role supports Bergey’s regional growth strategy and expansion.
Annual Salary: $60,000.00 plus commission
Key Focus Areas:
Internal Focus:
- Support Bergey’s Commercial Truck Parts New Jersey growth initiative for parts and service sales opportunities.
- Promote all Bergey’s profit centers
External Focus:
- Seeking an experienced parts & service sales professional with a background in the commercial truck industry.
Responsibilities
- Meet/exceed sales and gross profit goals within an assigned territory.
- Promote and sell truck parts, tools, fasteners, and industrial supplies using best-practice sales techniques.
- Increase market share by calling on a wide range of existing and prospective customers.
- Communicate new programs, campaigns, and product launches.
- Monitor competitive activity and develop strategies to win new business.
- Maintain continued product knowledge through company and manufacturer training.
- Attend sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows as needed.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in truck, aftermarket, or auto parts sales preferred.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new product lines.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and online product directories.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
