Pump Hoist Operator
Department: Field Service
Reports To: Operations Manager / Project Manager

Location: Bergerson-Caswell / Maple Plain, MN
Position SummaryThe Pump Hoist Operator safely and efficiently operates hoist equipment to install, remove, inspect, and maintain municipal, commercial, industrial, and geothermal water well pumping systems. Requires a valid Class A CDL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely transport and operate pump hoist trucks, cranes, winches, forklifts, and loaders.
- Field Service: Perform extraction, installation, testing, and rehabilitation of submersible pumps, vertical turbine pumps, column pipes, and well heads.
- Rigging & Safety: Set up rigging, slings, and chains to handle heavy materials according to OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
- Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and basic field repairs on fleet vehicles and hoist equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily service reports, job logs, and time records.
- Communication: Coordinate professionally with field crews, municipal personnel, and clients.
Position Requirements
- License: Active Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather conditions (mud, dust, noise).
- Stamina: Capable of prolonged standing, climbing ladders, bending, and working in awkward positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in water well drilling, pump service, or heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of submersible/vertical turbine systems and heavy rigging techniques.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or welding skills.
