What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Attorney position at Berger Singerman LLP?
We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated partner-level attorney with experience in healthcare and life sciences. Experience working with Medicare, CMS, government enforcement agencies, or with payers or managed care organizations is a plus. Core requirements include strong healthcare regulatory and transactional experience; compliance with federal and state health laws and regulations; private and public third-party reimbursement; corporate practice of medicine; operational issues; integrated delivery systems; and the purchase, sale, and merger of healthcare businesses and joint ventures. Relevant past work should involve a broad range of healthcare entities such as physician group practices, large group providers, healthcare systems, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, clinical laboratories, home health agencies, medical device manufacturers, durable medical equipment suppliers, practice management companies, management service organizations (MSOs), and substance abuse treatment centers. Preference will be given to candidates with a book of business.
