Startup and Warranty Supervisor

A successful Startup & Warranty Supervisor at Berger is skilled at assisting, supervising, and scheduling difficult technical commercial HVAC installations, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Responsibilities:

• Team leadership and mentorship
• Provide technical assistance to field technicians
• Collaborate with project managers and manufactures to schedule equipment startup
• Verify other trade requirements prior to scheduling technician for start up
• Review equipment submittals in preparation for proper start up procedures
• Quality and safety assurance – conduct onsite inspections to verify installation and repairs meet company standards
• Attend and participate in meetings regarding project start ups
• Attend and assign technician training classes
• Conduct service technician monthly meetings
• Technician evaluations– implement improvement plans
• Collaborate with fleet manager on service vehicle needs
• Determine company tools and parts stock needs
• Engage vendors for warranty claims – address paperwork requirements
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in commercial HVAC installation, repairs, maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, manuals and schematics
• Comprehensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work
• Ability to plan, lay out, supervise, and inspect work of subordinates
• Knowledge of energy management systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required
• Trade school preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
