Responsibilities:
- Team leadership and mentorship
- Provide technical assistance to field technicians
- Collaborate with project managers and manufactures to schedule equipment startup
- Verify other trade requirements prior to scheduling technician for start up
- Review equipment submittals in preparation for proper start up procedures
- Quality and safety assurance – conduct onsite inspections to verify installation and repairs meet company standards
- Attend and participate in meetings regarding project start ups
- Attend and assign technician training classes
- Conduct service technician monthly meetings
- Technician evaluations– implement improvement plans
- Collaborate with fleet manager on service vehicle needs
- Determine company tools and parts stock needs
- Engage vendors for warranty claims – address paperwork requirements
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in commercial HVAC installation, repairs, maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, manuals and schematics
- Comprehensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work
- Ability to plan, lay out, supervise, and inspect work of subordinates
- Knowledge of energy management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school preferred
Pay: $90,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
