Role & Responsibilities
As the Lifeguard your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise the activities of swimmers by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain constant surveillance of residents/guests; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of residents/guests in the event of an emergency.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical personnel.
- Notify the Community Manager of any accidents, rescues, or problems that arise.
- Report to the Service Manager any equipment that needs repair.
- Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service.
- Perform simple tests to determine water quality and document findings.
- Clean and maintain the pool and related areas/facilities as directed to maintain a clean and safe pool environment.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports.
- Adhere to Lifeguard Handbook SOP and pool rules and regulations
You might be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Effective and professional verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Have knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques and first aid, recognize hazardous situations, and adopt effective courses of action.
- Attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition of swimmers in distress or engaging in unsafe behaviors.
- Proficient swimming ability
- Proper use/application of rescue and first-aid techniques
- Ability to properly carry out rescue and initiate other emergency actions as necessary
