Job Description
Berger Briggs Insurance & Risk Solutions is looking for an experienced Small Business Account Manager to join our team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role managing a book of small commercial accounts, generally with less than $15,000 in combined premium.
The Small Business Account Manager handles the full account cycle—from day-to-day client service and renewals to quoting and new business. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, can manage multiple priorities, and has a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Manage an assigned book of small commercial accounts from new business through renewal.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and respond to service and coverage needs.
- Manage renewals, including gathering updated information, reviewing coverage, marketing accounts, quoting, and binding.
- Quote new and renewal business through carrier portals and comparative rating systems.
- Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, payments, audits, claims reports, and other policy transactions.
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and issue certificates, auto ID cards, evidence of property coverage, and other documents.
- Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to cross-sell appropriate products.
- Maintain accurate and timely client and policy documentation in the agency management system.
- Work closely with producers, carrier partners, and other team members to resolve issues and provide excellent client service.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Active New Mexico Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Commercial lines insurance experience; 3 years preferred.
- Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, terminology, and carrier processes.
- Experience with an agency management system; Applied Epic experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
