Role Description The Immigration Attorney will provide comprehensive legal representation in a variety of U.S. immigration matters, including employment-based and family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, and removal and deportation defense. Daily responsibilities include client consultations, case evaluation, legal research, drafting and filing petitions and motions, preparing clients for interviews and hearings, and appearing before immigration courts and agencies as needed. The attorney will collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff to manage caseloads efficiently, maintain accurate case files, and ensure timely communication with clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Williamsville, NY, requiring regular presence in the office and local appearances before immigration authorities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of immigration law, including Immigration Law and Immigration Issues.
- Experience handling visa-related matters, including Visas and employment and family-based Immigration.
- Ability to analyze and address complex Legal Issues related to removal defense, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
- Prior experience as an immigration attorney or in a related immigration legal practice strongly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and case organization.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small, team-oriented environment.
