Runner/Hospitality Assistant

Bergen Performing Arts Center is seeking reliable and detail-oriented candidates for a flexible, part-time Runner/Hospitality Assistant position. This show-based role plays a key part in supporting artists and crew, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, stock, and maintain green rooms and dressing rooms
• Handle hospitality shopping and supply runs as needed
• Coordinate and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks efficiently
• Accurately document expenses and follow cash-handling procedures
• Transport artists and crew (when required)
• Break down dressing rooms and perform light cleaning post-show
• Conduct pre- and post-show walkthroughs using checklists
• Provide general hospitality support for production and touring personnel
Serve as a point of contact for hospitality-related needs

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to a personal vehicle
• Strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, live event environment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Prior experience in a performing arts venue or theater production is a plus

• Job Type: Part-Time (Show-Based, Flexible Scheduling)
• Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour
