What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Bergen Logistics?
We are looking for a dedicated Shipping Clerk who will support the warehouse's operation by performing various administrative and logistical tasks, coordination, and communication with internal stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Verify order accuracy and completeness before processing.
Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments in accordance with customer requirements.
Routing wholesale pick tickets and determining the most efficient shipping method based on established guidelines prior to the cancel date.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of products to meet regulatory and customer specifications.
Work closely with the warehouse team to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange transportation for outgoing shipments.
Ensure that all shipping documentation is complete and compliant with local and international regulations.
Ensure accurate and complete records of shipped items.
Communicate with internal teams, customers, and carriers to provide shipment updates.
Address customer inquiries and resolve shipping-related issues.
Utilize Warehouse Management System (CloudX) and Excel sheets to maintain accurate records.
Assist shipping associates with floor duties related to labeling, packaging, and loading of shipments if necessary.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing shipping duties.
Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
Requirements
One to two years of related warehouse experience is required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (CloudX)
Familiarity with customer relationship management, such as ZOHO
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience
preferred.
Ability to communicate, including reading, writing, and speaking in English and Spanish.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Work regularly lifts and/or moves objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.
