Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Teacher located in Jersey City, NJ. The Lead Teacher will oversee the development and implementation of lesson plans, create a nurturing and supportive learning environment, and guide student growth and development. Responsibilities include planning and conducting daily lessons, assessing student progress, collaborating with assistant teachers, and maintaining effective communication with parents and guardians. Additional responsibilities include providing training and guidance to peers and contributing to staff development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Lesson Planning and Teaching to ensure effective delivery of curriculum and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Strong skills in Education and Training to support student development and mentor other educators.
- Exceptional Communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in classroom management and implementing individualized learning approaches.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred; Montessori certification is required.
- Previous experience in a teaching or lead teacher role, ideally in a Montessori setting, is an asset.
