COACHING POSITION
Lacrosse Assistant Coach (Girls)
Seeking a dedicated and flexible assistant coach to support the girls lacrosse team. This individual will collaborate with both head coaches to ensure the teams receive consistent, high-quality coaching and guidance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for lacrossse, and the ability to adapt their assistance to meet the unique needs of each team.
Qualifications
- Possession of NJ DOE Instructional Certification or Substitute Credential.
- Preferred: Current affiliation as a teaching staff member at Bergen County Technical Schools.
- Demonstrated coaching experience with expert knowledge of the relevant sport.
- Commitment to obtaining and maintaining certifications, including completion of Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Courses (Concussion, Sportsmanship, Heat Illness, Bullying Intimidation and Harassment), First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and Bloodborne Pathogens training.
- Responsible for overseeing equipment and uniform inventory, including the timely completion of annual orders.
- Perform administrative duties, ensuring rosters are kept current with all changes communicated promptly to the athletic office.
- Regularly update scores and highlights on njhighschoolsports.com.
- Thorough completion of end-of-season reports, County and State Play Off paperwork, and related documentation.
- Effectively communicate team or player accolades to the athletic office.
