Role Description The Graphic Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, Texas, responsible for bringing Berg Hospitality Group’s portfolio of restaurant brands to life across print and digital channels.
This role develops creative for restaurant branding, marketing campaigns, menus, events, social media, websites, email marketing, signage and other guest-facing materials. The Graphic Designer will work across multiple restaurant concepts, each with its own distinct visual identity, while ensuring consistency and attention to detail across every touchpoint.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing new creative concepts and executing detail-oriented production work, including menu updates, asset resizing, edits to existing collateral and quick-turn restaurant requests.
Working closely with the Marketing team as well as Operations and restaurant leadership, the Graphic Designer will translate creative briefs and business needs into compelling, brand-appropriate designs. The role requires the ability to manage a high volume of projects, balance competing deadlines, incorporate feedback efficiently and prepare accurate, production-ready files.
Qualifications
- Strong graphic design skills across both print and digital applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work within established brand standards while maintaining distinct visual identities across multiple brands.
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy and layout.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Ability to retouch, color-correct and prepare photography for print and digital use.
- Knowledge of print production, including bleeds, color profiles, file preparation, paper stocks, substrates, finishes and binding methods.
- Experience designing menus, signage, marketing collateral, digital advertising, social media assets and other consumer-facing materials.
- Hospitality, restaurant, luxury or lifestyle brand experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proofreading, organizational and project-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to receive, interpret and respond constructively to creative feedback.
- Strong visual communication skills and a portfolio demonstrating relevant print, digital and brand work.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
