What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Clerk position at Berg Equipment & Scaffolding Co?
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with some experience. RMS (Rental Management System) training available, but some billing experience will help. The position requires the person to be detail oriented and able to locate possible hidden discrepancies. We are a small scaffold company who cater to large construction companies as well as home owners who come to our store to rent/buy equipment, so positive customer service skills are a must. The position requires the A/R Specialist to enter tickets for equipment rented, enter tickets for equipment returned, price equipment and generate invoices; explain customer billing in person and over the phone; be able to explain the billing process to customers; identify what equipment is rented to the customer; let the customer know when their billing period will begin/end and be able to let the customer know how much they will owe. A/R is also responsible for taking payment from customers in person and over the phone; set up customer accounts and light collections of customers who fall behind on payments. Monthly interest charge calculations and mailing monthly statements.
This is a full time position, and we do expect the billing person to be here five days a week, 8 hours a day. Again, our customers mean everything to us, so a little patience, a positive attitude and exemplary attendance are most important.
