What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at Berg Enterprises, Inc?
We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, focused, and highly motivated Intern for Berg Enterprises, Inc. who has a high level of interest in commercial HVAC and plumbing construction.
This position will report directly to the Director of Estimation in the review of plans/specs, solicitation/negotiation of prices from contractors and suppliers, quantity takeoffs, and all other tasks associated with a complete bid/estimating process.
Responsibilities.
Manage, organize, and communicate bid documentation
Perform detailed take-off and unit cost estimates of mechanical and plumbing estimates
Perform pricing breakouts as required by customers, general contractors and subcontractors
Electronically maintain records of all working documents and dates to back up estimates
Assemble well-organized project folders in a timely manner
Recommendations.
Interest in computerized estimating and digital takeoff software
Proficiency with Google Workspace
Detail-oriented personality with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work and produce within a deliverable deadline
Compensation.
This will be a paid internship position. Compensation is subject to candidates availability, experience, and education and will be negotiated accordingly.
