What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feild hand position at BERE LLC.?
We are looking find several new hires to join a busy utility instalation/ boring company. Hiring a motivated employee that is not afraid to put a full days work in. We encourage growth and training in each position we hire. We are looking for someone that is willing to see a need on a crew and jump to the chance to fill it, being they are the first to jump out of the truck and help someone. See a safety issue and fix it before someone gets hurt. Or just willing to take training to be a little better at what they do.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the locating underground utilities with either a shovel or a vac trailer.
- Support senior team members by keeping tools clean and organized. So when something is needed they do not have to search for them.
- Learn how to conduct routine inspections on the equipment that is at your disposal to make sure it will continue to be at your disposal.
- Learn how to read prints and know how and where materials should be installed.
- Collaborate with team members to find better and easier ways to do the work in front of you
- Document work progress and any anomalies encountered during tasks for record-keeping purposes.
- Work safely for yourself as well as for those around you and on your team.
Qualifications
- Willing to take advice on work and be willing to use the knowledge given to better your work performance.
- Ability to stay busy and find work when nobody is around to give something to do. ie. Clean truck, clean job site, maintain safety fencing around holes
- Good physical stamina, capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within a team setting.
- Prior experience in manual labor or technical roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in related tasks is advantageous. - Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the ability to be a driver for company vehicles
