🧑💻 About the Role
As our Founding Product Designer, you’ll shape how millions of people experience BePresent.
This isn’t a role where you just join a design team. You are the design team — for now. You’ll own the product’s feel, design language, and the brand identity that ties it all together.
You’ll work side by side with the founders every day in NYC, at Verci (https://www.verci.com/) — a community of world-class consumer builders, designers, and creatives.
It’s your job to think like a founder: uncovering user problems, turning insights into simple & elegant experiences, and designing features that drive real business outcomes. Your work will move the needle on retention, engagement, and revenue, blending craft with analytical thinking to spot opportunities and run continuous experiments.

🧠 You Will…
- Own product design end-to-end — from uncovering user insights to designing, prototyping, testing, and shipping new features that move metrics.
- Frame ambiguous ideas as testable hypotheses and design rapid experiments to validate them.
- Define success metrics for every major design initiative and review results post-launch.
- Discover user needs through research, data analysis, and competitor insights.
- Translate ideas into intuitive flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI/UX designs in Figma.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure implementation quality and measure impact on product metrics.
- Continuously experiment, run A/B tests, and iterate to improve product retention, conversion, and engagement.
- Define and build BePresent’s visual and interaction design language — the foundation for how the product looks and feels.
- Collaborate directly with the founders on roadmap and product strategy, shaping how millions of people experience BePresent.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in designing consumer mobile products, with a portfolio to back it up.
- 3–6 years of experience in product design (startup or fast-moving environment preferred).
- A founder mindset: you take extreme ownership and initiative, drive projects from idea to launch, and think in experiments.
- Endlessly curious and always learning: you dig deep to understand user behavior, explore new ideas, and stay on top of evolving tools, patterns, and technologies.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining clarity and momentum.
- Action-oriented and iterative: you move quickly, learn through testing, and ship frequently.
- Pragmatic: You balance product goals, speed, and polish.
- Analytical and data-informed: comfortable running A/B tests and using both quantitative and qualitative insights to guide design.
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills: you can make complex experiences feel simple, intuitive, and beautiful.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and familiarity with AI-assisted design tools.
- Collaborative and low ego: you build trust with engineers and founders and thrive in a small, tight-knit team.
- Entrepreneurial drive: motivated by ownership, with the potential to grow into a Product Lead or CPO role as the company scales.
- Bonus: Experience with gamification, behavioral design, or even front-end development.
