Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Location: Minnetonka, MN 55345 (Onsite)
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 7 Months with potential for extension or conversion
Pay Rate: $35.00 - $37.27 per hour (Determined by experience)
Shift: Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Role Overview:

BEPC is seeking a motivated Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support a high-visibility new product launch within a medical device manufacturing environment in Minnetonka, MN. This role will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Production teams to support manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment, investigate process issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on role supporting production equipment, assemblers, and manufacturing operations on the production floor. Approximately 60% of the role will be spent in a cleanroom manufacturing environment requiring gowning and PPE compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a frontline process technician supporting manufacturing and operations teams

Support manufacturing activities related to:

• New production equipment
• Process improvements
• Cost reduction initiatives
• New product introductions
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and investigate process-related issues
• Assist Engineering teams with identifying and resolving:
• Safety issues
• Quality concerns
• Process deviations

Support production schedules while improving:

• Safety
• Quality
• Delivery
• Cost performance
• Work closely with assemblers and operators to provide coaching and technical support
• Train and instruct production personnel on manufacturing and testing procedures
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and operational best practices
• Recommend and implement improvements related to:
• Tooling
• Equipment
• Manufacturing processes
• Interpret test data and analyze product performance trends
• Assist with yield improvement investigations and process optimization activities
• Support maintenance teams to ensure the continuous operation of manufacturing equipment
• Perform scrap dissection and support root cause investigations
• Communicate production updates and technical information across shifts and cross-functional teams
• Follow work instructions, routing documentation, and control plans accurately
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory compliance requirements

Maintain compliance with:

• FDA regulations
• Company policies
• Operating procedures
• Cleanroom and PPE requirements

Qualification

• High School Diploma, Trade School Certification, Technical Training, Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience required

1–5 years of experience in:

• Manufacturing technician roles
• Engineering technician roles
• Production support environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively with:

• Engineers
• Operators
• Cross-functional teams
• Strong motivation, accountability, and willingness to learn

Ability to follow:

• Work instructions
• Routing documentation
• Manufacturing procedures
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical device manufacturing experience preferred

Experience with:

• CAPA investigations
• Lean manufacturing

• Familiarity with cleanroom manufacturing environments

Work Environment:

• Fully onsite manufacturing environment
• Approximately 60% of work performed on the production floor
• Cleanroom gowning and PPE required
• Fast-paced production and engineering support environment
• Standing, walking, and moving throughout production areas required
